And a bit late, because it is now Wednesday.
Arsenal dumped out of the cup by Burnley? The Gambling Gods don't seem to like me at the moment! Suppose that is why they call it a gamble. I'll sacrifice a goat later and see if my luck changes.
Castle Village-Gubers ended 3-3, a fair result. Two late Gubers goals, taking advantage of a tiring and poorly-organised Village in the last 15 minutes, sealed the draw. A reasonable crowd, good performances all-round for the five 17 year-old trainees, no injuries, Old Glory added to the flag collection (now, how do I go about getting a proper Confederate one?), all-in-all, a good game and well worth the admission price! Also the first time that Castle Village have not been stuffed in a reserve game!
Good to see old Castle Village favourite Oscar Reid back at the ground, playing for Gubers, even if he did have a stinker of a game.
